thestar.com iPhone : South Korean security law takes aim at pro-North activists

Monday, February 20th, 2012

I’ll overlook The Star’s lack of technical know-how in regards to Twitter (he either tweeted or retweeted, you can’t do both to one tweet) and pass along the state of current Government take on freedom of speech, in particular towards North Korea.  Not exactly a preety picture when you start to dig deep.

South Korea still has a way to go but maybe, just maybe a change in leadership will help because a change in leadership has certainly gone the opposite way of a democracy and free speech.

Back….finally

So after a long and painful week of getting my Galaxy Tab 7″ replaced, I am almost back to a setup on my new Galaxy Tab 8.9″ that I had before.

Wow did they ever change a lot of things on the latest version of Android!  Even the apps from earlier version are different.  I like the Hackers Keyboard layout so much better. The problem now is that Samsung has done away with separate are touch-buttons from the screen and included them at the bottom of the regular screen. Sure this may be cheaper but I don’t have 1/4 square fingers and have hit this damn things so many times its really frustrating.

So far I have not found a simple way to move them to the top (I.e. check box option) so now I have to find some sort of theme maybe.

Outside of understanding this updated layout and Apple-wannabe feel, the device performs well. I am especially pleased at the speed which it locks onto a GPS signal, and is usually pretty darn accurate.

Now the 4G/LTE speed is stupidly fast. The last test I did was showing

In common terms, I can dl about 6GB an hour. Of course that would use up all of my 5GB monthly allotment :/. Good thing for WiFi :-)

Now, once the old reimbursement stuff gets done right, I’ll be happy to move on :)
