Back….finally
So after a long and painful week of getting my Galaxy Tab 7″ replaced, I am almost back to a setup on my new Galaxy Tab 8.9″ that I had before.
Wow did they ever change a lot of things on the latest version of Android! Even the apps from earlier version are different. I like the Hackers Keyboard layout so much better. The problem now is that Samsung has done away with separate are touch-buttons from the screen and included them at the bottom of the regular screen. Sure this may be cheaper but I don’t have 1/4 square fingers and have hit this damn things so many times its really frustrating.
So far I have not found a simple way to move them to the top (I.e. check box option) so now I have to find some sort of theme maybe.
Outside of understanding this updated layout and Apple-wannabe feel, the device performs well. I am especially pleased at the speed which it locks onto a GPS signal, and is usually pretty darn accurate.
Now the 4G/LTE speed is stupidly fast. The last test I did was showing
In common terms, I can dl about 6GB an hour. Of course that would use up all of my 5GB monthly allotment :/. Good thing for WiFi :-)
Now, once the old reimbursement stuff gets done right, I’ll be happy to move on :)
